An A-line skirt by ROBE DE CHAMBRE COMME DES GARCONS. Produced in 2000 from a very dark navy wool, the skirt has a seven button front opening with thick white contrast topstitching. There are two angled slash pockets at the sides, in addition to a horisontal welt pocket and buttoned flap pocket at the back. In a typical COMME DES GARCONS touch, the back flap pocket has been split in two by a thick, metal zip, which extends perhaps a quarter of the way down the skirt. The skirt can be worn with the zip fully done up, or partially open, exposing the zip teeth. It may also provide a quicker, easier way to put the skirt on or take it off than the front button opening does.
It should be noted that the eye from the hook and eye which sits at the top of the zip has come off, although this should not affect the skirt in general wear (see picture). The skirt is in good condition otherwise.
